Building a Scalable B2B Design System
Linda is a stand-alone, extensive design system for Zeffi, a complex B2B product — defining design language, elements, components, patterns, and layouts to ensure modular, consistent, developer-friendly handoffs and enable hi-fi prototyping faster than wireframing.
Linda is a complex B2B product’s stand-alone extensive design system that sets the rules and patterns for design philosophy, and translates them into well-defined yet flexible UI elements.
With its maturity, Linda even helps us build hi-fi prototypes faster than relying on wire-framing. This has proven priceless when we test / discuss, since the results are a lot closer to the actual product.
The handoff designs are always modular, and split into components before they’re added to the development backlog. New re-usable components are built and tested before features are developed.
design language

The language of our brand identity and visual design
elements

The simplest of the components. Ideally natively available in HTML5
components

Non-mutable combination of elements. Components don’t need any changes except content.
patterns

Repeatable design patterns that can be overridden with small details.
layouts
Loose definitions of rules in bringing components together to form a meaningful usable frame; like a grid, dialog, side navigation, and cards etc.
